Funny how you are bashing Philly like they did something wrong. Mezzaros may not be a top pair defender as Tampa thought he was, but he is a great #5 on a team. And Gagne was simply a salary dump by Philly for a guy that has missed over 1 full season of games in the last 3 years. The only reason Gagne went to Tampa is that they have $$$$ and can pay him long term. But for his injuries (groin, hernia, concussion) - all multiples - he is RISKY!

Over the last few years he hasn't played enough games to be worth half his salary. I sure hope Downie doesn't give him a cheap shot concussion before the season starts!
